after knowing ttatt for many years now...i had made up my mind long ago that after 2014, i would no-longer subject myself to the boredom, pain, and frustration of following this cult...the wt...the borg.. so...i made up my mind that since the wtbts/gb makes such a big deal as to the "significance" of the year 1914 and this year 2014, there can be no greater time for me to leave it all behind.
i daydreamed of how awesome and telling it would be if everyone that could ( because i do know that some have personal circumstances of their own, as i did too) would just .... walkout...never to attend/step foot in a kingdom hall from that moment on.. independence day of sorts?
there is too much evidence, too many videos, blogs, books, news reports and lawsuits for me to keep lying to myself.
I may join you on that exact date. It would be a great time to get out if so many will leave at the same time.
i've been perusing the various threads on the truth be told documentary, along with visiting the website http://www.hereliesthetruth.com/ , and i don't see an option for purchasing the dvd.
is it still not available?.
Here's a link of some of the highlights from th documentary. I won't deny or confirm I snuck out one evening to go see it.
my congregation was in charge of host week where the d.o.
spend the week with a congregation the week before an assembly.
didn't show up because he was "sick" so the c.o.
My congregation was in charge of host week where the D.O. And C.O. Spend the week with a congregation the week before an Assembly. Of course the D.O. Didn't show up because he was "sick" so the C.O. Gave a 45 minute talk Instead. Anyway he started off talking about the Assembly and how there will be refinements about wording because of the new silver sword we received. Also he touched on the Theocretic ministry school being a thing of the past because of the assembly days now becoming 1 day instead of 2 something has to give, and it would most likely be the school. Although he didn't confirm this he also didn't deny it. He continued to say the organization is moving rapidly and we need to keep up. I am not sure if he meant they just will not have the school at the assembly's anymore or it also includes the school every week. (Hard to see them leave that behind, but it was implied).
Thanks for reading.
Your friend stuck on the inside, BroMike
I went, made me sick to my stomach. The place was jammed packed to the limit. A lot of disfellowshipped were there. My brother gave the memorial talk. To be honest I felt out of place even though I'm a baptized JW. It just seemed like people were looking at me and judging me even though I've done nothing wrong. Maybe it's because a lot of them thought I would talk to my former best friend who recently was disfellowshipped. (were still best friends, we just don't communicate in front of other JWs)
a few things noticed in last nights annual, jesus who?
gathering:.
1: only one scripture from the gospels was read or cited.
That's the exact talk and illustration used at our meeting too. Afterward they read a letter putting a free plug on the jw.org website, and as soon as the elder said jw.org, he paused as if he was shocked or surprised he was told to tell everyone there to visit the website for questions. Made me sick to my stomach. Must have made him too. You know what was even funny about this is that it was my brother giving the memorial talk.
new donation arrangement (tithe) asked my elder about it he hung up on me.

Well that elder seems to be taking care of his flock by hanging up on them when they have questions.
i hear there will be a special local needs outline provided by the branch this week.
does anyone have details?
will this be a regional thing only?
What lost generation said. : )
i know what they are supposed to be like.
but at this point in time, do you think the elders look joyful?
are they serious bible students?
The elders in my congregation are nice, and surprisingly have a great sense of humor. If fact believe it or not I'm best friends with one of them. When my father died he sort of felt like a father to me.
bo juel jensen from norway was visiting new york 3 days ago .
he is an apostate activist and a child abuse survivor .. this is the video.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odluwssd_qy.
How come they let this guy have a large print bible, and not me, a full time jw. LOL, no disrespect intended for the one guy though. thx for sharing the video.
